How We're Getting Ready for Valentine's Day

It is no coincidence that it's always around this time of the year when we begin to notice just how much we've neglected the skin on our body. Now, we don't usually need a special event like Valentine's Day to encourage some much-needed pampering but it does offer the perfect excuse to indulge in some TLC. And whether you're spoiling yourself with some serious self-care, going for a dressy night out with your other half, or spending Galentine's day with your friends, we're here to impart some delicious body care guidance.

When it comes to prepping your skin for any occasion the key is spending enough time to *actually* enjoy yourself - It's not a sprint but a marathon. So, go ahead and gift yourself and your skin the time to glow all February long and beyond with these body-care tips.

Did you know the average person sweats a minimum of 3 litres a day? Whether or not you're someone who enjoys physical activity, after a long busy day, a warm shower always manages to hit the spot. There's nothing better than filling your shower with the scent of a delicious cleanser, especially if it's formulated with some of the best ingredients on the market. Our Body Cleanser is known to gently wash off any of the day's remnants while leaving your skin hydrated and soft. The spotlight ingredient is Malachite extract, a powerful antioxidant that helps to reduce inflammation. And did we mention just how yummy it smells? Talk about showering in tangerine-scented heaven 🤤

Why is it that skincare experts always talk about the importance of exfoliation? For starters, exfoliation is like gifting your skin a fresh start by allowing new skin cells to reach the surface. That's why we recommend following up with Polish after your cleanser. If you're after that natural glow like us, you will not want to skip this step! Apply a small amount to an exfoliating glove or a loofah and gently buff it into the body in circular motions. Polish helps to remove any rough texture and debris to make room for smoother, clearer skin. And If you are someone who has 'bacne' or has Keratosis Pilaris (also known as chicken skin), exfoliation is integral in your body care routine. We recommend exfoliating 1-2 times a week to get that radiant look just in time for V-day.

We want to make sure you're feeling confident at all times and having soft, supple skin is a trick of ours that immediately boosts your mood. After a relaxing shower, apply Silk to your damp skin for a dose of hydration. We love Silk because its hydrating properties last well beyond the initial application. And if you're looking to address hyperpigmentation or decrease the look of cellulite, our caffeine-infused Body Therapy is *chef's kiss* approved. Therapy works overtime by encouraging micro-circulation, which will help improve the look of uneven, dimpled, and loose skin. The trick here is to apply Therapy generously before finishing up your evening of self-care with Body Silk. Trust us when we say your skin will be glowing from head to toe.

Whether you're celebrating Valentine's Day or Galentine's Day, it's all about spreading the love. If you're looking to gift a few goodies this year then we've got you covered on that too.
