This week's Glow Getter Spotlight is with a long-time friend of Miracle 10, Adriana Hussain of Amore by Adriana. She is a former Plastic Surgery Clinic employee, and currently works as a makeup artist and skincare specialist here in Toronto. We highly recommend giving her Instagram a follow for endless beauty and skincare inspo!
What’s your current skincare routine? Are you someone who likes to follow each skincare step every night? What are some of your favourite Miracle 10 products to use?
Currently, I'm all about Vitamin C and Retinol 60. I LOVE alternating them at night and have seen huge benefits from doing so. I always start with my daily faves: Cleanser I followed by Solution I and Eye Treatment, but in the morning after those steps I mix my Vitamin C into my Moisture and then a generous amount of SPF for protection!
At night, I apply one pump of my Retinol 60 on after cleansing and toning, finish off with the Night cream and go to bed feeling like a goddess! It's the perfect combination and it's something that I look forward to everyday. With two toddlers and little "me" time, my skin routine was something I was not going to let go! I've always been one follow each skin care step because I feel it's so important to target all areas and layers of the skin with each product being able to do it's job. One product can't do it all!
Do you have any beauty/skincare hacks or tips that have upped your beauty game?
Oh, I have a TON of hacks. But, if I had to pick one of my most recent and favourite hacks, it would have to be using the Botanical Oil Concentrate as my makeup primer! I love when my skin glows and looks healthy and fresh, and I get just that when I use this. I apply it to my full face, after my moisturizer and then I start my makeup and it gives me the most beautiful dewy glowing skin! This has definitely upped my beauty game for sure.
What’s currently in your bag (beauty and non-beauty related)? What things must you always ave immediate access to throughout the day?
Besides my mask and sanitizer, I always have sunscreen in my bag. On days I'm out running errands or out with the kids, I like to reapply my sunscreen throughout the day to make sure my face is always protected. I also drink a whole lot of water constantly, so my water bottle comes with me everywhere. Other than that, I always have immediate access to my lip balm and some gum!
What’s something that no one really knows about you?
I faint at the sight of blood! Seems common right? The thing is, my own blood doesn't make me faint but watching other peoples blood makes me sweaty, I get tunnel vision and I end up on the ground.
As a former employee of The Plastic Surgery Clinic, I learned this on my first day of work after our first injection patient of the day arrived and as I was shadowing the appointment and assisted with some minor blood cleanup, I found myself passing out and waking up with a goose egg on my forehead.
This was the moment I learned that blood makes me faint, and a moment I will never forget! What a way to start my time with PSC.
Here at Miracle 10, we love to define a Glow Getter as someone who isn’t afraid to be their true, authentic self. In your words, what does it mean to be a Glow Getter?
A Glow Getter is someone who is ambitious, who isn't afraid to ask for and pursue what she wants. Someone who isn't defined by others views and opinions but knows her self worth and loves herself for who she is. Someone who thrives to live her best life while achieving all her goals.
