Introducing Soothe, our hyaluronic-rich neurobalm to help calm inflammatory response and lock in hydration. Our non-comedogenic, antioxidant-based emollient helps restore hydration in the skin and speed up the healing process. At first, it was created as a solution for those visiting MD Beauty Clinic who needed a soothing, non-irritating product to apply to their skin after a treatment or procedure. Our president Ann Marie knew she needed to create a formula that would speed up the healing process and pump up the hydration while also strengthening the skin's barrier to combat future irritation. She selected several impressive ingredients that are proven to achieve just that and more. But the truth of the matter is that this formulation goes beyond simply hydrating the skin (although it does an excellent job at doing so).
The hero ingredient, Albatrellus Ovinus Extract (also known as the Northern Truffle), ushers in a new generation of neuro-cosmetics. By hindering the neuro-sensor in the skin responsible for pain and the development of inflammatory skin conditions such as rosacea, psoriasis and dermatitis, this neurobalm provides immediate pain relief, soothes inflamed skin, and prevents signs of premature aging. Seriously, Soothe is *that* girl and we're so here for it.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA)
You already know why everyone rants and raves about hyaluronic acid, and that is because it can hold 70% more water than any other natural substance. So, not only did Ann Marie formulate Soothe with 1 form of HA, but 2! Sodium hyaluronate and hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid are said to be even more effective than regular HA. This is due to its molecular weight, as it's small enough to penetrate deeper into the skin to promote wound healing and collagen production.
Ferment Complex 6/PF
This fermented complex is a probiotic which contains essential minerals, amino acids, betaglucans and vitamins that aid in hydration and elasticity of your skin. Get ready to see improved skin texture, suppleness, and vitality.
ProRenew Complex
This it the second probiotic in our formula known to help accelerate the skin’s natural renewal processes. It is also known to boost the skin’s barrier function no matter how or why it became impaired in the first place. That means it'll jumpstart wound healing from environmental, post-treatment (think microneedling) or even natural aging factors.
Defensil Soft
Meet the ingredient that stops pain in its tracks. Defensil Soft targets the pain receptor called TRPV1 which responds to triggers such as heat, acids and inflammatory molecules. The activation of this pain receptor leads to pain, itching and discomfort as well as inflammatory stress (anyone with rosacea here?). Defensil-Soft interferes with TRPV1 to provide immediate pain relief, reduces skin discomfort and irritation, increases the skin's heat-pain tolerance and reverses the signs of inflammatory stress. Phew, and we thought our Starbucks order was long.
So where exactly does Soothe fit into your skincare routine? There are 2 ways we've been incorporating Soothe:
- We like to add it as a hydrating booster 1-2 times a week and to combat the signs of aging. If you're someone who experiences inflammatory flare-ups from conditions like psorisis or rosacea, we'd advise use 1-2 times per day until your skin has calmed.
- Do you like to treat yourself to skin rejuvenation treatments at MD Beauty Clinic? Consider applying 1-2 pumps on cleansed skin, morning and night (followed by your moisturizer) for 5 days before treatment and then daily for 5 days after treatment. After those 5 days, you can begin to taper back to 1-2 days per week. By implementing Soothe pre-treatment, you're prepping the skin and blocking that TRPV1 pain receptor early for less discomfort during treatment!
