Being a beauty and skincare company means always looking out for new trends, treatments and tricks in the world of wellness. The start of a new year is the perfect time to pause and share our expert opinion on a few beauty trends we predict we'll see more of in 2020, while we're scrolling our Instagram feeds and catching up with our girlfriends.
Who doesn't love a chance to geek out over the latest and greatest in beauty and skincare?
Beauty According to You
The rise of Instagram in the beauty community has given voices of all ages, races and genders a chance to be amplified and heard, and now more than ever beauty in all forms is being celebrated. With that comes an expectation for skincare that is easy to understand and use, is effective, and is available at fair price points - something that's in our DNA at Miracle 10!
Beauty "standards" are a thing of the past - lifting people up no matter what beauty means to them is the norm now, and we're pretty pleased about that.
Skin Is In
When Meghan Markle walked down the aisle in the ultimate skin-first, no-makeup makeup look in 2018, there was a collective sigh of joy and relief heard around the world. While we love a full face of makeup, we're also so glad to see the beauty community has embraced a more minimalist everyday approach to makeup with a greater emphasis on healthy skin first.
We know that the best foundation for any makeup look is a solid skincare routine, and the less-is-more approach will continue to thrive in 2020.
Eyebrows (Still) Rule
The 2010s were defined by bold, structured brows, and while we’re seeing a softer approach to our arches these days, they remain as important as ever in a look. Brow Lamination is the latest trend for brows - if you've seen this popping up in your feed more often, you're not alone.
Eyelash extensions, filler and microblading have all become common in people's beauty routines, and brow lamination is the latest shortcut to easy, everyday beauty. Like a lash lift, brow lamination is essentially a perm for your eyebrows that gives you a fluffy, lifted brow look that can last up to two months. We’ll be seeing these everywhere in 2020!
Skincare That Works
People are more knowledgeable than ever on the products they’re using, and in 2020 there will be a greater emphasis on products that include powerful active ingredients that really work – think retinol, AHAs like lactic and glycolic acid and Vitamin C. With more information out there on these amazing ingredients than ever before, we know better when it comes to what we’re putting on our skin.
Of course, this is a short list – what are some of the trends you predict for 2020? Comment here or visit us on Facebook and Instagram!
